Driven by advancements in spouted pouch manufacturing equipment, China's spouted pouch industry is poised for accelerated growth. Beyond the widely adopted jelly pouches, juice drinks and tea beverages are highly suitable for long-spout pouches. Furthermore, cleaning products are likely to become major adopters of angled-spout pouches.
In Japan and South Korea, most detergents and fabric softeners already use this packaging. If larger, three-dimensional pouches with handles can be manufactured, products like laundry detergent, automotive and motorcycle oil, and cooking oil may gradually shift to this packaging format. In northern cold regions, winter sales of baijiu (Chinese liquor) are substantial. Using long-spout pouches for 200-300ml portions would allow outdoor workers to warm the liquor with body heat or hot water for convenient consumption. With the rapid growth of advertising, leveraging pouch packaging's advantages of easy printing and high print quality to print advertisements on water pouches could reduce actual packaging costs. This would make such packaging attractive to bottled water companies for large-scale adoption. Additionally, such flexible packaging is particularly suitable for special venues like famous scenic areas and soccer stadiums.
As consumers increasingly recognize the advantages of spouted flexible packaging and environmental awareness grows, replacing traditional non-resealable flexible packaging with spouted versions—or substituting them for buckets—will inevitably become a trend.
